Speak Easily was made in 1932 and is a story about a Professor working at the Potts College who inherits a lot of money and decides to go out into the world and enjoy his life. He falls for a dancer who is in a bad show, then he decides to help her out with his inheritance. He buys the show and takes it to broodway.
Out West is about a drifter called Arbuckle who was thrown off the train for stealing food. He then gets chased by Indians who want to cook and eat him. He runs into a town called Mad Dog Gulch and accidentally prevents a bank robbery. Keaton who plays the town sheriff appoints him the new bar tender of the local bar then the fun begins.
Buster plays the roll of a Wealthy man. He decides to propose to the neighbor across the street, he then sends a servant to go and book passage for a honeymoon sea cruise to Honolulu. His offer was refused by his neighbor but then decides to go on the trip on his own. After boarding the wrong ship he soons gets into trouble.
Keaton was born into a vaudeville family in Piqua, Kansas, the small town where his mother, Myra Keaton, went into labor. He was named Joseph to continue a tradition on his father's side and Frank for his maternal grandfather, who disapproved of his parents' union. His father was Joseph Hallie "Joe" Keaton, who owned a traveling show with Harry Houdini called the Mohawk Indian Medicine Company, or the Keaton Houdini Medicine Show Company.
In this film buster has three plots in three different historical periods. The first is the Prehistoric times, then in Ancient Rome and last of all he is in the Roaring Twenties.
